Howard & Co, Boston, Series IX, 15J, N-S (just over 19S), gold-filled original Keystone HC with beautiful engine turning and engraving detail, small idyllic lakeside home scene to rear, white enamel SS dial, umbrella style hands, SW-SS, gilt mvt, s#403511. A beautiful case that ranks highly among the nicest original gold-filled cases we have encountered among E. Howard & Co. production.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking sluggishly on a full wind, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, haze and some scattered spots to gilt plates; virtually flawless dial with infinitesimal pinpoint edge nick under bezel near 3; excellent hands, some oxide to tip of minute; case shows hardly any wear, pinpoint ding to upper perimeter of rear, few mild pinpoint nicks to front, superb engine turning and engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
